when coffee dates hot choc

What will happen when coffee asks hot choc out for a date? Coffee will take advantage of hot choc. =S

Funny place to meet Stephanie at Raffles Place after lesson...
Funny thing to meet her after I have met her for lunch at Arts canteen...
Funny phenomenon to feel hungry when I have eaten lunch (quite normal actually)

So we went to Spinelli Coffee at Far East Square. Call me mountain pig (again) but this was my first time patronising Spinelli. I ordered a cup of daily roast while Stephanie had hot chocolate. To be honest the hot choc was nice! Did quite a bit of taxation, that's why I said it got taken advantage of =P

The daily roast... hmm... I would say I was paying for the brand and the atmosphere and the environment, which includes the nice rattan chairs we were sitting on, but the coffee was as nice as the 40 cents one at NUS canteen. (what a way to put it)

It's the people you are drinking with. How much fun can drinking coffee alone be? (that's another thing, I drink alone cos I need the coffee!)

  • was it your first cup of hot chocolate? I still think Milo can be considered hot choc... well loosely speaking.

But the aroma of the hot choc was really nice!! It just drown out the poor coffee's taste/smell.

Oh one more funny thing: we drank from take-away cups in the cafe...

  • eh.. sorry to break up the little talk ah..

can't resist but to comment on hot chocolate.. hahaha.. have been drinking lots of that in australia.. especially during winter time.. hahaha..

the difference between hot chocolate and milo.. lots of difference.. one main difference.. hot chocolate is much thicker.. im not sure about the hot chocolate here.. but in australia.. i always mix the chocolate tat comes out of the machine with fresh milk.. pure fresh milk.. tat will give the full flavour of the chocolate.. and it does taste nice.. i will always siam the water tat comes out of the vending machine (in my dining hall tat is..) then add in the milk.. cuz if i put the water and the milk together.. it will taste weird.. hahaha..

with regards to the coffee.. basically.. you will be able to taste the sour taste of the 40cents coffee.. for the daily roast, depending on which roast.. you will be able to taste the difference if you're like u know.. visiting spinelli everyday.. cuz the daily roast might jsut change everyday..

for hazelnut, there will be tat nutty taste.. for the rest.. depending on blend..

but well.. try this the next time u go starbucks.. cappucino with caramel syrup.. then u dun have to put sugar.. just drink straight.. on top of the foam, add a dash of chocolate powder.. it will taste nice.. sorry for bloggin on ya blog.. hehehe..

  • hmm, i thought Nescafe has one that specifically says arabica beans? Do the normal ones also use arabica beans?
