finger-pointing

How many of us actually realize that when we use 1 finger to point at others, 3 fingers are pointing back at ourselves?

I just find that I've become the very type of person that I don't like. Lazy, sloppy, can't be bothered, knowing something is not right and yet not acting on it, etcetera etcetera. It is like I have the cheek to tell others to study hard, and yet I'm slacking; or I don't like the way someone is handling something, yet I'm handling it the same way.

Human beings are self-serving. It is always easier to point finger at others, but how many of us can actually put ourselves in people's shoes (stinko) and think the same way?

Maybe we should point at ourselves first, then 3 fingers will be pointing at others.

  • He's just being lame la.

People are often like that. But the bible also says that you will be measured with the same measure you use on others.

Haha, but in a way I guess you are ahead of many people because you realised what is happening and can thus take steps to negate it. :)

  • realising what is happening but not doing anything about it is as good as not realising it... at least practically speaking.
