seats of opportunity

Opportunity is like finding seats on a bus.

First you board the bus, you see one empty seat near the front, and an empty 2-seater slightly further back. So common sense is that people will want to have the 2 seats to ourselves, so you go for the 2-seater. But as you near the seat, it was taken by the people in front of you. You turn around, and discover the one empty seat is taken by someone behind you. With no empty seats left, you have no choice but to stand for the rest of the bus journey.

So what is the moral of the story? Take taxi.
You started with no seat, but you want to take the big seat and give up the small seat, so in the end you are back to zero with no seat. Opportunity comes and goes, so grasp it. (at least this is not as bad as you already have a seat, then you want to change seat but someone took it before you got your lazy butt onto the other seat... blah blah blah)
