looking for belay slave

Saw this email from the climbing club's yahoogroup:

Hey dudes,

I'm looking for a climbing partner. Generally to climb WEEKLY at the vertical walls over at Climb Adventure and also to alternate between natural rock climbs over at Bukit Timah dairy farm.

A bit bout myself:
I'm just an average rock-climber lookin to improve my rock skills and yeah, need a partner to climb with and belay. I'm not competitive. I have my own full set of equipment.

I can't help feeling that he just wants a belay slave. (if not he wouldn't have mentioned the word "belay")
Err, can always hire a social escort and pay for his/her sports climbing level 1 course.

I think I got it wrong, cos climbers are nice people.
