under the sun
I SMSed both Hong Jun and Wei Chuan for lunch. Hong Jun turned up quite promptly, but Wei Chuan still hadn't arrived. After 2 SMSes and no reply, we decided to go ahead to buy our food without him.
When we were halfway eating Wei Chuan arrived, claiming that he didn't receive my SMSes and we didn't reply his, which of course both Hong Jun and I didn't receive. Hong Jun didn't fail to receive my SMS, and both of us failed to receive Wei Chuan's, then it must be Wei Chuan's service provider's problem. (simple logical induction)
1 hour of lunch and 2 hours of lecture, I was on the way home when I finally received Wei Chuan's SMS. "Lunch?" bleh... 3 hours lag!
Everything under the sun means it won't work under roof.
(it is wise to use SingTel if you are in NUS, since the SingTel tower overlooks NUS across the road...)

Sad to say, I've never quite trusted M1 although their plans are pretty tempting...
Actually I have a feeling everything technology lagging nowadays. I receive comments on my blog way after the person has commented.

think of it, all the infrastructures are by Singtel, so logically they should be able to provide a better service. However my experience with M1's customer service was a mixed one. The front counter staff wasn't that nice, but the desk officer was really helpful.
It may not be technology lagging, but we are demanding too much from it. Think of snail mail......

the internet can only hold up to so many stuff.. the time needed to load it.. and the wants of humans.. cannot be put together..
as we know from economics.. wants are never ending.. so there you go.. we always demand for something better.. but think about it.. are we relying too much on technology these days? where are the times when we manually plot a complicated graph by hand?? no more man.. it's now excel or a better program.. right??

well... we always want a better world, don't we?

huh... I still draw my graphs by hand leh.. =D
True, never-ending wants... Too used to wanting more. Maybe we should start learning to be contented with what we have.
Most of the time.

there's that cool thing called SMS delivery report, which, when enabled, will present you with delivery report once SMS reached recipients cellphone. If you don't get delivery report, that means that cellphone is most likely unreachable at the moment and person didn't get your sms.
